SAWAN SPRING FESTIVAL 2017
You are Invited to attend the Closing Day of Sawan Spring Cultural Festival 2017 from 1 PM till 6 PM, on Saturday, December 2nd in CLAYTON COMMUNITY CENTRE, Clayton 3168with FREE ENTRY for Children and Ticket of Adults for $5 only.
We are very pleased to inform you that SKGA Inc & SIMDA Cultural Group is organizing Sawan Spring Cultural Festival 2017 which is in celebrations during this Spring Season from 1st September till 30th November 2017. On December 2nd in Clayton Community Centre, Cooke Street, Clayton 3168, we have planned to organize the Closing Day of 90 Days long Sawan 2017, continuing our efforts of promoting Cultural Diversity, Community Harmony, Intercultural Awareness supporting State Govt of Victoria's initiative of spreading the power of significance of multiculturalism through Creative Arts & Performing Arts.
On December 2nd from 2.30 PM till 5.30 PM, Artists & Performers from Indian, Bollywood and Multi-cultural background like Greece, Indonesia, China, Macedonia, other groups and associations will be presenting Items in Singing, Dancing, Comedy, and Instrumentals. 1 PM to 6 PM, we will be organizing Talks in Teen Education & Transformations, Arts in Diversity, Workshops in Yoga, Arts, Music, Dance & Meditation.
We are inviting Community Leaders & Volunteers from various cultures & groups, to Book the Slots from 15 - 30 Minutes of duration, for any Topics focussing on Community Engagement and Harmony in MYFS meeting room which has capacity to accommodateup to 50 seats with Screen Projections and modern lecturing facilities.
As a part of Sawan Spring Cultural Festival, this year, we have organized DIWALI CELEBRATIONS with ASEAN Association on 7th & 8th October in The Queen Victoria Market CBD 3000 which was successfully organized, and had attendance of over 10000 plus people. On 28th & 29th October Sawan Festival collaborated with ASEAN 50th Year Silver Jubilee and celebrated with ASEAN community's 10 Countries –Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, Lao, Thailand, Brunei and witnessed over 10000 plus people again @ The Queen Victoria Market, Queen Street CBD 3000.
Above celebrations were attended by Victorian Greens Member of Parliament Samantha Ratnam, Dr Mimmie Claudine Ngum Chi Watts from Victorian Multicultural Commissioner, Nawal Moudgil - SKGA Inc, Albert Lim -ASEAN Association, Councillor Philip Le Liu from City of Melbourne.
On 18th& 19th November, Sawan Festival collaborated with Phillipine Festival in Argyle Square, Lygon Street CBD 3000, Day 1 from 12 PM to 8 PM and Day 2 from 11 AM to 5 PM supported by This event is supported by Consul General of Philippines Melbourne, ASEAN Association Australia Inc, Filipino communities of Australia, Philippines Times, Philippine Tours, ACME Inc, FATSCO Incand other ASEAN communities.
